William J. Watts, CEO/President

Mr. Watts has nearly 40 years in the EMC discipline. His experience as an engineer has included EMC test, design, application and product management. In addition, he has worked in National and Regional Sales Management positions for various companies in the EMC industry. In 1984, Mr. Watts founded EMC Technologists, a company that quickly became one of the top sales representative and consulting companies in the EMC industry. In 1989, he furthur introduced EMC Eupen, a distributor specializing in EMC components, including ferrite coated cables and power supply cables with integral filters. Mr. Watts is currently active as the CEO of  Corp. which includes EMC Technologists and EMC Eupen. He is a life long member of the IEEE/EMC Society, IEEE Power Electronics Group, IEEE Microwave Electronics, the dB Society, and several other industry organizations.

James W. Watts, Vice President

Jim Watts joined EMC Technologists in 1986 and has been managing sales in the New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania areas. He is a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy where he received his B.S. degree.

He worked in the Maritime Industry for Happaug-Lloyd and Carolina Caribbean Carriers before coming to EMC Technologists.

Jim’s many years of technical sales experience, along with his post-graduate electrical engineering studies at Brookdale College, has suited him well and given him the necessary tools to be a professional salesman of EMC equipment and accessories along with other technical components and services.

Through the years, Jim has established a very loyal customer following, and has received many sales awards from our principals for outstanding performance.

Jim and his wife Debra, along with their young son Tyler, reside in the NJ shore town of Sea Girt. Jim’s interests and hobbies are skiing, golfing, biking, and salt water sport fishing where he has been captaining charter boats for 22 years.

Tom is a native of the Washington, D.C. area, having grown up in Reston, Virginia. He received his Electrical Engineering degree at Virginia Tech. while participating in their co-op work/study program. It was this program that helped shape his interest in technical sales. He has worked for EMC Technologists for 7 years, initially covering Virginia and North Carolina. He now works in the Maryland, Delaware, and Northern Virginia territories. Tom lives in Frederick, Maryland, with his wife Sue, and his children Grace and Luke. His hobbies include spending time with his family, basketball, and music.

Stephen V. Rust, Sales Representative

Steve Rust was born and raised in New Jersey. He obtained an MBA from Salisbury State University, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering.

He has worked in various electronic component manufacturing companies in Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing Management. Before joining EMC Technologists, he was General Manager as well as Vice President of Engineering at Balo Precision Parts (now PA&E). He has considerable experience in implementing quality systems and documentation procedures to successfully pass ISO 9002 and AS 9000. Steve has spent much time in the field assisting customers with technical problems and introducing new products. He spends most of his free time with his young daughter.

Steve is responsible for all OEM and government accounts. In the North New Jersey, Southwest Connecticut, and Southern New York State territories.

Lori Rumbaugh, Office Administrator

Lori Rumbaugh has been with EMC Technologists since October, 2007 and is responsible for the day to day functions of the office.

She grew up in Long Island , NY but considers herself a ‘jersey girl’ as she has lived here for more than 30 years.

Lori is a graduate of Monmouth University and has extensive experience in office management and administration. 

She loves to cook, exercise, play golf and spend time with her dog Skippy.  She has two grown children, James and Katherine.

 

Jeanne Sass, Inside Sales

Jeanne is originally from Westchester County, NY. She earned a BS in Business/Marketing from the University of Maryland and has held positions in the Computer, Investment, Environmental, Insurance, and Food Importing businesses. In addition, she was a principal in a computer scanning company.

Jeanne joined EMC Technologists in 1996. She has been involved in many aspects of EMC including overseeing the Financial, Network Administration, Marketing and Sales for our corporation.

Jeanne and her husband Alex have 2 sons and reside in Toms River, NJ. Her hobbies include tennis, reading, and spending time with her family.
